The CSA staff volunteered to provide, cook and serve dinner to the residents at Ronald McDonald House on a recent hot summer evening. This is a great program to help those families staying at Ronald McDonald House have a home-cooked meal while their children receive treatment and care at Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The volunteers (including staff, surgeons, and others) made quick work to prepare and serve hamburgers, brats, and hotdogs (grilled on the outside grill by Grill Master Dr. Pitt) with a hash-brown casserole, baked beans, fresh fruit, and desserts. Ronald McDonald House has a GREAT kitchen to work in and all of the families made a point to come by and thank us for preparing dinner for them.
